Hao Yuan

Hao Yuan earned his BSc in Biotechnology at the Northwest A&F University, China, in 2017, and his MSc in Molecular Medicine at the Sun Yat-sen University, China, in 2020. His main interest is integrating advanced technologies into practical biological questions.

In his BSc work, he learned a broad repertoire of both wet- and dry-lab work, as well as participated in a gene prioritization research under the supervision of Chuang Ma (doi: 10.3389/fpls.2016.01914). During his MSc studies, he learned in-depth computational biology and deep learning, as well as participated in scRNA-seq data imputation research under the supervision of Zhi Xie (doi: 10.1186/s13059-020-02083-3).

Now, Hao is a PhD student at Karolinska Institutet under the supervision of Maria Kasper, where he will obtain knowledge of skin and single-cell biology and reveal cell-type specific molecular and cellular differences of human skin from different body sites. This project will provide us in-depth knowledge about cell-type variation in human skin dependent on body location.
